Kenneth Baillie is founder and chairman of Apex and was the leader of the group’s first expedition. He initiated the International HAPE Database project in 2004. He is currently a clinical lecturer in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. He is studying for a PhD in functional genomics at the Roslin Institute.
